It snowed
It snowed this morning- it started around 07:30 but by the time it came to go to work there was around 4 inches of the stuff. No problem thought I, reversing out my drive.
Once turned I couldn’t even get over the speed bump at the end of the road!
A Beemer in snow is more of a sledge than a car.
Despite trying for 15 minutes- I couldn’t get forward- or back by this time. So off I trudged to my garage and got a snow shovel- I usually carry this in the motor anyway but had taken it out while the car was in getting a bodywork repair (one of my neighbours crashed into me in December!).
After digging a track back to my drive and half way along it- I was able to get back parked.
I was probably lucky I didn’t get out my road as my Mrs was taking my son to school and she made it out the estate but was stuck on the road beyond, all the cars were stuck on the hill up to the village- Gridlock.
Going the other way the main road into Stirling – the A811 was gridlock too as vehicles could not get over the short rise to the roundabout at Stirling Castle.
We’re not talking steep hill here- just a slope!
Time to go home!
